Local places to visit

Balmoral Beach

A delightful family-friendly beach. Balmoral is an inner harbour beach (so no surf), which makes it great for children and for swimming. There is a play ground at the south end and lots of nice cafes.

Headland Park, Mosman

A stunning urban parkland with bush-walking tracks, historic fortifications, cafés, art studios, and a spectacular view to the entrance of Sydney Harbour.

Taronga Zoo

Sydney's famous Zoo is a five minute drive away from Mosman Bay Loft.  Walking takes about 30 minutes, but given you will then be walking around the zoo we think it is better to drive or take a taxi - or even take the Mosman ferry to the city then another ferry back to Taronga Zoo Wharf.
